This gas sensor module is made using MQ6, a low cost semiconductor sensor which can detect LPG, LNG, iso-butane, propane gases at concentrations from 200 to 10,000ppm. The sensitive material used for this sensor is SnO2, whose conductivity is lower in clean air. It’s conductivity increases as the concentration of sensing gases increases. It has also some sensitivity to smoke and alcohol. This module provides both digital and analog outputs. Threshold level for digital output can be easily adjusted using the preset on the board. MQ6 LPG LNG iso-butane, propane gas sensor module can be easily interfaced with Microcontrollers, Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi etc.
